Irish Senior Women's Squad Announced

In preparation for the Olympic Qualifier in Auckland, New Zealand from 19th/28th March 2004, Irish Coach, Riet Kuper has announced a squad of 20 to travel to the USA where they will play three International matches against the US who are also preparing for the Qualifying Tournament in Auckland. The squad will be based in Palo Alto, San Francisco playing and training at Stanford University from 9th- 18th January 2004.
Kuper has included 5 uncapped players Deirdre Casey, Nicky McCaughern and Kristin Farrell who were all part of the U21 squad, Pamela Orr from Randalstown and Loreto’s Orla Ryan. Lynsey McVicker has been appointed Captain replacing Rachael Kohler who recently retired from International hockey with Jenny Burke as Vice Captain
Joan Morgan will take over as Team Manager and will be assisted by Julie Dwyer in all their preparations.
