John Aird film crew move in
A GERMAN Film Company producing a documentary highlighting the failings of British care of the elderly compared with that of Germany attended a meeting over the future of the threatened Brentford elderly care home, John Aird House, which took place on Thursday (August 21st).

The council has voted to close the home, on Green Dragon Lane, but residents and their relatives are campaigning to keep it open, arguing that to move the elderly residents could prove fatal.

Deborah Read, whose mother is at the home arranged the meeting for August 21st at the Pottery Arms, Pottery Road, where Richard Lugg from Unison gave an update of the union's standpoint on the current situation.

Investigative reporter, Donal McIntyre, is also currently working on a programme based around John Aird house.
