Madonna says her husband Guy Ritchie balked at changing nappies because he's 'a man's man', and 'it's not a man's job'. Here we ask some well-known men's men if they've ever tackled the smelly end of parenthood. Interviews by John Crace, Rob Kitson and Alice Wignall

I changed my first nappy when I was 12 years old. It was just a basic part of mucking in with family life; it was expected that I would change my nieces and nephews when they came to visit and it never occurred to me I was doing anything out of the ordinary. I don't have any kids of my own as yet, but when I do, it wouldn't occur to me not to get involved with nappy-changing, in the same way as it wouldn't occur to me not to share the cooking, washing, etc. It's preposterous for a man to claim he's too hard to get involved in these things; for some reason, it's often the most independent women who let their partners get away with this old-fashioned chauvinism.

An extreme right wing group worshipped David Copeland and printed instructions on how to imitate his nail bombs, a court heard today.
The group – known as the Racial Volunteer Force – preached hatred against non-whites and sung the praises of Nazis including Rudolph Hess and Hitler, the Old Bailey heard.
Those involved printed three editions of racist magazine Stormer which included articles entitled "How to build a Dave Copeland Special" and instructions on making a firebomb entitled "Roast a Rabbi."
They also published vile racist abuse about murdered teenager Stephen Lawrence.

Speaking of hollow victories, how does Donal McIntyre get away with what he does? On Channel Five last night I watched the worst bit of TV I've seen in ages. (I know, I know – it was Five, what did I expect?) McIntyre's Big Sting works like this: Dump a car on a grotty estate, wait for scumbags to show up, film them doing what they do best. Then act all preacy and judgemental for the next forty minutes. (The only light relief was when, on one estate, the first person to scope out the car was a copper, prompting a moment of blessed silence from McIntyre.) This is what I learnt from Donal last night – people will steal stuff if you leave it out in the open. And if you're daft enough to leave stuff out in the open you deserve to have it fucking nicked. Next week, Donal tackles the thorny subject of alcohol… seems if you have too much you'll start acting all silly and stuff.
